Third annual Halloween Horror Celebration featuring five award-winning full-length short horror films and exclusive filmmaker interviews.
Go Film Magazine treats readers to their third annual Halloween Horror Celebration issue. This year the magazine brings five award winning shorts from three acclaimed short filmmakers into focus, delivering a memorable and horrifying Halloween experience for readers and lovers of the horror genre. The multimedia film magazine introduces readers to the filmmakers through personal interviews, full length short films, and by connecting filmmakers and film fans via social media, all from within the pages of the magazine.
“Horror fans are some of our most enthusiastic readers and we always look forward to creating a fun and truly scary experience for them each Halloween. The horror genre is a great place for filmmakers to experiment and be creative with smaller budgets while producing thrilling results. The films featured in this issue are perfect examples of that.” Jason Rogan, Artistic Director, Go Film Magazine.
Films specially selected for this issue include Luna, written and directed by American director Antonio Perez. This chilling short won the prestigious title of Best Short at Screamfest LA 2013, as well as attending a host of other notable film festivals including Sitges and Hollywood Horror Fest 2014. Perez tells Go Film Magazine his inspiration behind the story of Luna as well as his best, personal advice to other filmmakers in running a successful crowdfunding campaign.
2014’s Halloween Horror Celebration issue continues with Hell No, a short exploration of what would happen in horror situations if smart characters made good decisions. Director Joe Nicolosi uses his background in improv comedy to give the genre a fresh twist, and tells G Magazine about that process, as well as interesting insights into the funding of the film and what the future holds for him.
This issue also includes three short films from the Swedish director, David F. Sandberg; Lights Out, Picture and Come Closer. Lights Out became an internet sensation at the end of 2013. With over 7.5 million views on YouTube to date, the film has also been shortlisted for numerous film festivals, taking the title of Best Short at FANT Bilbao 2014.
Filmmakers interviewed include:
Dir. Antonio Perez (U.S.A) – Luna
Dir. David F. Sandberg (Sweden) – Lights Out, Picture, Come Closer.
