A filmmaker, trying to impress a Hollywood producer, claims to be the winner of the Sundance Short Film Competition with his half-second masterpiece.
Short films are an art form in their own right. Not a line of dialogue should be out of place, not an image or camera angle should be superfluous. The editing has to be tight – tighter on a short film than on a feature. Short films are an exacting medium. A good short film should look effortless to the viewer, but is anything but effortless to those who produce it.
