Four generations, each with a crisis, set in four different parts of Norway on the Norwegian Independence Day.
“The reason I made this movie was to strip off and be totally naked, to do something artistically challenging that I had never done before, something that I couldn’t dodge in the editing room. I wanted to make the four scenes and for every day of shooting be like, okay, now I’ve made a quarter of the movie and if this take is shit, the movie is shit. I wanted that pressure. Do I have it in me, am I a good storyteller? This was my ‘getting out of film school’ project, and seeing who I am as a director.”
